About Mr. Mark

Hello Truck Fans,My name is Mark Gagnier.  I was born in 1957, on a farm in South Western Ontario, Canada.  For as long as I can remember, I have always loved Trucks.  When I was 3 years old, my father built me a little go cart, with a lawn mower engine,  that I drove around the yard.  The love of driving was born! Growing up, I would do any chore, to get a chance to drive a truck or tractor.  Working on a farm growing up, gave me opportunities to drive trucks and tractors from age of 10.At 18 years of age, I was too young to get a commercial drivers licence, so I became a brick mason, which I also love.  In the 1980s, the interest rates went to 20+%, and the housing market really took a dive.  Contractors stopped building, as no one could afford a new build, with such high mortgage rates.  This is when I got my AZ license and started driving.  I started out with a 1977, White/Freightliner, cabover. It had a 350 Cummins engine, 13 speed transmission, with no AC.  I was hauling a flatbed with Canadian lumber into the USA, and bringing hardwood back to Canada. I am looking forward to sharing my story and love of trucks. When I was 10 years old, I started photography, with a little Brownie camera.  I have been taking pictures, and honing this craft as well, since then.  Every picture tells a story, and I look forward to sharing these stories with you.    Mark Gagnier‍
